The challenge
Hartford & Associates had been running their practice for 22 years with a website that looked like it was built in 2003 — because it was. Their site had no mobile responsiveness, no clear calls to action, and a bounce rate north of 80%. Potential clients were finding them on Google, landing on the homepage, and immediately leaving. The firm was losing business to competitors with worse track records but better websites.

The approach
We started by interviewing their top five referral sources and ten recent clients to understand what mattered most when choosing a law firm. The answer was consistent: credibility and ease of contact. We redesigned every page around those two pillars. The homepage leads with a client testimonial and a one-click consultation booking widget. Practice area pages are structured as plain-language guides, not legal jargon walls. We built the entire site on Astro for speed and implemented a local SEO strategy targeting their three-county service area.

The result
Within 60 days of launch, Hartford saw a 340% increase in website-generated consultation requests. Their Google Business Profile moved from position 8 to position 2 for 'estate planning attorney' in their market. The managing partner told us it was the first time in a decade that new clients mentioned finding them online. Six months post-launch, web-sourced clients represent 35% of their new business — up from under 5%.
